DUBLIN WEEK-END TOUR

Day 1.
ARRIVE DUBLIN
Passing down O’Connell Street enjoy the delights of Dublin City viewing Dail Eireann (Irish Parliament) Leinster House and St. Patrick’s Cathedral where Jonathon Swift was dean for 32 years.   
   
Passing Trinity College and its long library and the famous “Book of Kells” as well as the National Museum which is renowned for its gold exhibition, theTara Brooch and Ardagh Chalice.

Visit: Trinity College

    

Visit: St. Patrick’s Cathedral
 
Passing through Georgian Dublin and viewing the most important monuments and buildings around the city. Time permitting, tour of Phoenix Park, one of Europe’s the most attractive enclosed public parks (808 hectares) Passing Aras an Uachtarain (Residence of the president of Ireland)

Day 2.
WICKLOW TOUR
Day tour to visit Wicklow know as the “Garden of Ireland”   
Depart for the charming village of Enniskerry with a copper spired church. 

Travel via the seaside town of Bray.

Stop to visit the magnificent Powerscourt Estate and Gardens, one of the world’s great gardens.  47 Acres of Gardens - Including Italian & Japanese Gardens and Pet Cemetery.   House Exhibition - telling the story of the Estate

 

Powerscourt is situated just 12 miles south of Dublin in the foothills of the Dublin Mountains.   The garden begun in the 1740s and stretches out over 47 acres.    It is a sublime blend of formal gardens, sweeping terraces and ornamental lakes together with over 200 variations of trees and shrubs.    The 18th century house now incorporates a house exhibition, terrace café and Avoca Hand Crafts. In the House the view from long terrace looking across the Dargle Valley.

Continue to Laragh through Glen of the Downs and Roundwood to Glendalough

   

(Glen of two lakes) with spectacular view of mountains, lakes and valley.    Stop to visit St. Kevin’s Bed and travel on through the Wicklow Gap and the village of Hollywood.    Return to Dublin via Blessington with its beautiful lakes.

Day 3.
FREE TIME / TRANSFER TO AIRPORT
Following breakfast at the hotel, free time.
Transfer to Airport for return flight to Dublin
